Midform Holding purchases SIS-USA Inc.
Midform Holding ApS, Denmark announced today that it has purchased SIS-USA Incorporated located in Londonderry, New Hampshire USA. In the deal, Midform takes over the full share capital.

Midform Holding ApS, which also owns Midform A/S, has just completed purchase of SIS-USA Inc.. Midform is Denmark's leading producer of innovative shaped wood solutions and supplies the top Danish furniture manufacturers with a wide variety of pressure-formed wooden components. SIS-USA, which was owned by SIS International prior to its sale to Ejendomselskabet 30.9. 2006, sells and markets Danish office and school furniture throughout the USA and Canada.

With the purchase, Midform gains a strong foothold in the growing North American market for contract furniture. In addition to moving closer to US customers and providing them with better logistical services and shorter lead times, Midform also expects the deal to benefit its Danish customers and partners who intend to grow in the USA.

"SIS-USA is a well run company with an extensive sales network in both the office and educational segments. They've already leveraged their access to buyers in the USA to sales in excess of 10 million USD, and their profits are strong. We hope to build on this success - and also to allow some of our Danish and Scandinavian partners to become a part of it."

Managing director of SIS-USA, Alan Morse, is enthusiastic about the new ownership: "This deal ensures that we can continue to build our existing business and add more as we grow. I've been dealing with Scandinavian contract furniture in the USA for more than 25 years, and I'm excited to join forces with Claus moving forward. He understands the US market, since he worked and lived here for 2 years, and he also has a strong network in Scandinavia allowing us to enter into attractive partnerships. We look forward to developing the many synergies that the new ownership makes possible."

SIS-USA continues current supplier relationships from SIS-Denmark, Marko and Stage Systems. The new purchase is expected to strengthen and expand these existing relationships.
