FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Alan Morse, president of SIS-USA, inc. announced a new alliance where the New Hampshire based company will have the North American rights to market two product lines from the well established Loughborough, Leicestershire UK headquartered company, Anthony Hill Designs Limited, d.b.a. Stage Systems.

"Stage system" a freestanding modular stage environment will be available either as individual components or in kits, the modules connect together with no tools to create different raised environments for presentation or theatrical uses.

All the kits come on dollies for ease of locating for installation and storage when not in use. The frame is welded steel with open tops and tapered bottoms to interlock and construct the stage vertically. Simple plastic connectors hold the aligned frames together and set the spacing for the top decks. At the apex of each level a plastic cap finishes off the assembly process.

The decking is available in natural finish birch ply, carpeted or painted black for theater use. The system is strong enough to support a car in presentation. Handrails, steps and ramps are available for ADA applications and provide options for local code requirements for moveable stages.

The standard product is created of square frame components in three heights. . The product can be used in schools, civic and community centers, religious halls, and hotel/hospitality environments. Variations in layout and depth of the platforms are available for tiered seating applications and choir use.

SIS-USA has also acquired from Anthony Hill Designs Ltd., the marketing rights to their highly ergonomic educational furniture Q-learn, which will be introduced at NeoCon in June as part of SIS' new Academy Line of educational furniture.

Recognizing the worldwide need to reduce back pain in children, the design team worked in conjunction with research groups and leaders of education in studying the problems of seating and working in classrooms. Using the findings from traditional studies like AC Mandal's "The Seated Man" to contemporary research being conducted throughout Europe, the product line has been carefully crafted to assure maximum comfort, and the best possible environment for learning and improving academic achievement.

The product line is developed around three height adjustable, contemporarily designed, components that are easy to use by any student. The first is the plastic shell chair, which is lightweight, ergonomically designed to support proper posture, durable, easy to clean, and simple to adjust along the steel cantilevered frame. Hold the shell, rotate, lift or lower and reset the chair in place at the correct height for the task to be accomplished or the stature of the individual. Nest the chairs vertically or invert and stack on a trolley to move them away when not in use.

The table features two pull out spring-loaded levers, which allow the student to raise and lower the table from the correct sitting to standing position. The table also tilts for offering the best angle to work or write. The top is shaped to allow the minimum of space to best encompass the student with a proper work reach envelope. The table includes a hook to hold the student's backpack and when the table is full tilted the units can be nested and moved out of the way making room for other learning environments. A wider ADA version for wheel-chair use is also available in the family appearance.

The "Pod" version features an extended frame with an attached seat. The table portion functions the same as the independent model but the seat is ergonomically created in a backless design to support the student to sit correctly. Front casters permit the table to turn circularly to follow the instructor around the room or the student can swivel in the chair and the cockpit in the table becomes a backrest. Rear casters permit ease of movement to locate the pod in alternate positions around the room.

In any elementary school environment using Academy, the room can alternately be utilized at other times or days for older student classes, parent's conferences, civic meetings, or adult education, as this classroom of furniture can be adjusted to fit anyone comfortably.

SIS-USA located in Londonderry, New Hampshire, a wholly owned subsidiary of SIS International Denmark, imports and markets ergonomic adjustable height furniture, including tables, workstations, and accessories for the electronic working environment and learning styles based furniture for the educational environment.
