SIS and the Environment

Being of Scandinavian ancestry, Denmark, the Environment is of major concern to our company. Since Denmark is a nation of islands and has very few places for disposal, our manufacturing philosophy is one of resource reduction and scrap elimination. Our northern continental location also supports our efforts to reduce or eliminate the SIS effect on Green House Gasses in all that we do.

SIS develops products for the market keeping in mind the consumption of resources and working to limit the total amount of material per product to a minimum. Our belief lies in providing products that meet the market's needs while minimizing the total impact of this production on the environment, both locally and globally.

The SIS production factories are keenly aware of these concepts and work to reduce total consumption of both man-made and natural resources throughout the manufacturing processes.

SIS believes in Sustainable Development noting that resources are not just for today but must be guarded for future generation's use.

SIS produces products, keeping in mind the need to reduce consumption of resources and producing products with long life spans, for instance our Lifetime Warranty and parts that are replaceable.

The Ecological and Economical Cycles are recognized and fully supported within the SIS organization. These cycles include:
Avoid: if at all possible
Minimize: always keeping in mind the end result and quality aspect of the products
Recycle: reuse component materials whenever feasible and possible
Combustion: where appropriate to dispose of those materials that cannot be recycled
Disposal: as a last resort.

Our ongoing focus to reduce our manufacturing costs involves an emphasis on energy and water conservation and reduction in the amount of scrap material produced in the manufacturing process. This not only becomes a benefit to us, but to all of our clients as well.
